Why a Paris rental apartment?

Paris has always been a major tourist destination and it is not about to chanage. However travelers are becoming more and more savy as they learn that most Parisian hotel accommodations are pricey and small. This is why many people are turning to apartment rentals. Think of the added freedom, the larger spaces and the amenities that can't be beat, from cable TV (with more than just CNN), wireless internet access (some apartments with computers for your use) at no extra cost, fully equipped kitchens and inside tips on making your trip that more enjoyable. When I discovered that you could travel the world renting apartments, I thought wow, "where have I been all this time?" I mean it is nice to splurge sometimes for a hotel but we've all slept in rooms that were simply laughable, on beds that were harder, lumpier or noisier that most beds you have ever known, so why fork over all that cash and get little in return. Live like a local and really have something to write home about. So, yeah I am advertising here so of course I am going to toot my own horn, but I guarantee you will enjoy your stay. just had a week at Merveille de Montmartre in Paris. The commennts on the site say it all. Wonderful well appointed apartment in a residential area with all the possible ameanities close to hand.
we felt like Parisians by the time we came home (except that we weren't rude and didn't leave dog poo everywhere).
it was so good going into non touristy shops and buying produce. there was a boulangerie across the road, a superb cheese shop, wine shop, greengrocers, butchers etc in Rue Damremont just 5 mins away.
we we also close to the Sacre Couer and would wander up there in complete safety in the evening to watch the world go by. (have a drink first in a local bar - cos prices in place de la tertre are silly. for a good local restaurant, try le Sagittaire in Rue Lamarck 01 42 55 17 40. 4 course meal including aperetif, wine and coffee 30 euros. if you want something a bit special but further off - ille St Louis, try nos ancetres les Gaulois. at 37 euro (with as much wine you can drink) it is a must. full of atmosphere. (i've been there 7 times now so it must be good).
Paris is a lovely city, and seeing it from an apartment base is so much better than a hotel. give Yetunde a call - talk to her. I would recommend this to anyone.

I recently spent one fabulous week with my two children of college and high school age at the Caulaincourt Classique. We loved the Montmartre area and at the end of a long day of museums and walking, we were always relieved and happy to be back in our delightful neighborhood and cozy apartment. The kids were especially grateful for the wifi access that enabled them to stay in touch with friends. I was grateful for the well stocked and outfitted kitchen that allowed me to cook meals in with ease and without having to buy a lot of staples. They were already there! A very nice touch was Yetunde's welcome bottle of wine. Just below or down the street from the apartment is everything you need: greengrocers, supermarket, boulangerie, ATM machine and metro. The place that you stay makes such a difference to one's enjoyment of the total experience. We won't hesitate to Feel Like Home in Paris again. Thanks, Yetunde!

I spent the first two weeks in December at Cozy Carpeaux. This was indeed a cozy apartment to stay in: beautifully appointed, excellently stocked with everything you would need, warm and inviting and wonderful.
It was EXACTLY as advertised,
and then some, since Yetunde was so kind to start our our stay with a bottle of wine, cookies, coffee and other welcoming tidbits. I had stayed in a different apartment rental for a previous trip and I had to go out to buy supplies right from the start. In Cozy Carpeaux, every appliance was in perfect working condition, everything was clean and fresh, and the entire set-up was comfy and delightful.
My 76-year-old mother wore a pedometer and even in our 7 days of rain found that we averaged 7 to8 miles of "strolling" per day. The Guy Moquet metro was a very convenient starting point for all of our explorations, not to mention just across the street from take-away pizza that we brought home one evening. With a boulangerie just down at the corner, we couldn't have asked for more.
Most of all, the apartment did indeed "feel like home." The neighbors in our building were friendly, kind and polite, greeting us each day with a pleasant "bon jour, mesdames," recognizing us and opening the entry door with a smiling "bon soir" if we met them as we returned home. The apartment felt very homey and lived up to its name of being cozy at the end of cold and wet days out and about in the city. Having such a lovely place to come home to made our stay so relaxing and enjoyable that, in the end, it was hard to leave.
To have a place to call your own while in a great city like Paris is a wonderful treat for any traveler. I would recommend "Feels Like Home in Paris" to anyone.
