This quiet and modern apartment is steps away from the Canal St-Martin and close to Place de la Republique. Walking distance to the popular Marais area and direct metro access to some of Paris' best attractions make it an ideal base for exploring the city.

Completely renovated in December 2008, you'll feel like you're staying in a boutique hotel - without paying boutique hotel prices!

The apartment has been tastefully decorated and is equipped with modern amenities. It's a great place to relax after a day of sightseeing.

The apartment features beautiful hardwood flooring in the living room and bedroom area. There are also lots of lighting possibilities from lamps to ceiling spotlights controlled by dimmers allowing you to set the perfect mood.

As you enter the apartment you'll find a small kitchenette equipped with an oven, stove and microwave which will allow you to have a quick breakfast or prepare a dinner if you feel like staying in one night.

The living room features a very comfortable double sofa-bed which can sleep an additional adult or 2 children. The layout of the apartment makes it ideal for a couple but also possible for 3 close friends or a couple with small children.

A space saving coffee table/dining table has been put in place and is both practical and esthetically appealing. The table expands and can be raised or lowered at the flip of a switch.

You'll be able to stay up to date on international news as you'll have access to cable TV (CNN, BBC, Skynews). You can also stay in touch with friends and family with your laptop as the apartment is equipped with wi-fi internet access. We have also provided a Mac computer for your use in the apartment.

Dividing the living room area from the bedroom is a wall than spans the width of the bed. This blocks the sleeping area from view from the rest of the apartment and provides an intimate nest for cozying up or just sleeping in while your friends are having breakfast or watching TV.

The bedroom area has a very comfortable queen-size bed that will ensure you have a good night's rest and offers plenty of storage to put away your belongs.

The bathroom is very modern in design. It comes equipped with a shower, hair dryer, towel heater and a combination washer/dryer.

Windows run across the full length of the apartment and are double glazed for added comfort. We have installed blinds for added privacy and should you require complete darkness when you sleep, you can close the outside shutters as well.

Whether you stay for a weekend or a week (or more...), you'll find this apartment to be the perfect Parisian haven.

Most tourists when thinking about the waterways of Paris instantly think of the Seine but Paris is full of canals.

The Canal St Martin with its locks and footbridges, was built by order of Napoleon I to supply Paris with water. It was later used as a means to provide a shortcut that would avoid navigating a long bend in the Seine.

One could easily spend an entire Sunday afternoon strolling along the Canal amongst all the locals or simply spend the day at the many bars and restaurants along the Canal and in the Republique area.

This is a friendly, lively neighborhood that allows you to truly experience the diversity of Parisian living.

Just down the street towards Blvd Magenta is the metro station Bon Sergeant (line 5) connecting you to Gare du Nord and Gare de l'Est as well as points south of the Bastille. You are but a 5 minute walk from the Republique metro station which connects lines 3, 5, 8, 9 & 11. These lines bring you to many of the Paris sights without even the need to make connections. Line 11 takes you right to the Centre Pompidou, lines 5 and 8 to the Bastille, line 9 to Trocadero and the Eiffel Tower and line 3 to Opera, just to name a few. Using these metro lines you can literally go everywhere in Paris. But you don't even have to take the metro to visit Paris' many sights.

You are minutes from the Paris center and can even make the trip on foot. The Marais or Notre Dame can be reached in 15 minutes.

This area also has a lot to offer in terms of food, from French traditional to Asian and North African. Stroll along the canal and enjoy the night life offered by the various local bars and restaurants.
