Walking
into this large, bright, quiet living space that
is Paris Rustique, you take a small step back into
the history of Paris and the village of Montmartre.
Once
part of a large farm that sat on the former rue
St Marie, the building owners have managed to retain
some of that charm and grandeur of an open living
space.
The
long wooden beams running the length of the ceiling
help to create this spacious feeling.
Off
the entrance you have the master bedroom with a large
queen size bed and light pouring in from both the
window and the sky light. Lay back and relax letting
the morning rays get you up.
An
old sewing machine has been transformed into a vanity
and other small decorative touches give you a glimpse
of the owner's many travels around the world.
You
enter the living space where you have the salon with
a brick fireplace which once was used to heat the
room.
Relax
after your day out in the urban jungle of Paris,
over a nice glass or wine and make yourself at home
in this convivial atmosphere.
We
have provided internet access so that you may stay
in touch with loved ones or check in with the office
as well as cable TV and a DVD player.
In
our dining area, a large table awaits your culinary
feast, whether you decide to whip up a meal using
the fresh produce of the rue Lepic market or bring
in some of the delights offered by the various
"traiteurs"(caterers) in the area or even take
a cooking lesson from our French chef (Eric Fraudeau),
you can be sure that memories will be made over any meal.
Our
fully equipped kitchen is quite easy to navigate
around. We have made sure to provide most if not
all of what you might want to have in a country kitchen.
Our
second bedroom has a double bed with an antique frame
and provides additional sleeping space in a mezzanine
containing another double mattress.
Our
bathroom has been refitted with all the modern comforts
including a full-size tub with shower. Take a look
out the window at our porcelain birds which give
you the effect of being by the sea.
Harmony
and peace reigns throughout.
Are
you really in Paris? You may think you are on a country
road in Provence but believe me you are in Paris
- Paris Rustique.
