Quietly
tucked away in a courtyard building on Montmartre's
rue d'Orsel, this large, bright, spacious one-bedroom
apartment has everything to enchant you and put you
permanently under its spell.
The
apartment has been completely remodeled to better
suit today's demanding travelers, with a fresh
look and a homey feel.
The
hard wood floors were once found in a local theatre
and were salvaged to help recreate that classic
French look.
As
you first enter the apartment you find to your
right, a very modern kitchen, fully equipped with
all that you will need to make good use of your
purchases from the rue Lepic market.
Enter
the dining room area with its antique dining set
reminding you of a country home. The mix of the
old and the new come together to create a space
that is both practical and classical.
The
living room is a cozy refuge after a long day of
sightseeing and explorations of all that Paris
has to offer.
We
have decided to put a double bed in the living
room rather than a sofa bed to ensure that additional
guests may sleep just as well as those in the bedroom.
With
the help of some hand-made pillows the bed transforms
into a huge sofa fit for a king (or queen). Truly,
you may wish to just jump right in and lounge about
all day.
Relax
while watching TV or making use of the stereo/DVD
player to unwind.
The
apartment also provides cable television and WIFI
internet access with a PC computer in-house, to
allow you to remain in touch throughout your stay.
As
you slide open the doors that lead you into the
bedroom, you understand why this is enchanting
d'Orsel. You are greeted by a queen size bed that
just looks like it was made for you. You may feel
as if you have walked into a 5-star hotel, but
in fact you are home (if but for a little while).
There
is no shortage of storage space for you to put
away your things.
The
ensuite bathroom has also benefitted from a relooking.
Here you will find our laundry closet which has
both a washer and a dryer. The large tub also has
a shower.
Throughout
the apartment, we have installed double-glazed
windows to help an already quiet apartment be even
more quiet.
Forget
