Located on the 4th floor of a Montmartois building in the beautiful "quartier des Abbesses" lies a true pearl, La Perle des Abbesses. You will be welcomed by a breath of fresh air in this beautiful light-filled one-bedroom apartment in the heart of the Montmartre area. Walking in to this breathtaking apartment, your eyes immediately focus on the large windows which line the wall of the living room and overlook the famous Place des Abbesses. Three full double pane windows adorn the living room and bedroom with nothing but trees peeking in.

Place des Abbesses is the heart of Montmartre, so you won't be surprised when you open the double glazed windows to have the apartment filed with sounds of local jazz musicians playing (you can even find a piano player from time to time), a weekend antique market or the sounds of children laughing as they ride the carousel at metro Abbesses. Prefer to sit in silence as you gaze out at the tree tops? You can simply close the windows and enjoy the calm and tranquility of your spacious home away from home.

Relax in the living room seating 4 people comfortably with the large sofa and two additional arm chairs, as you enjoy a glass of wine and some great local cheeses. The sofa converts into an extremely comfortable double bed.

Move over to the dining area to extend your "aperitif" to a delicious home cooked meal or enjoy some of the great local take out.

Making a great meal is easy in the the fully equipped newly remodeled kitchen where you will find everything you need and more.

The bedroom, also overlooks the Place des Abbesses and so benefits from the abundance of natural light. You have two entrances to this room, one with a sliding door separating the bedroom from the living room and the other which will lead you out to the apartment entrance with its walk-in closet to your left and to the bathroom to your right.

The bathroom has also undergone a complete re-looking. Compact but very well equipped with window overlooking the buildings courtyard and a relaxing rain shower. The blue tiling gives the space a spa feel. You will really appreciate the heated towel rack/radiator in the Winter-time.

You will truly feel like a Parisian whether you're inside or outside La Perle des Abbesses!

About the Area

Les Abbesses feels like a village within Paris. Step out of the apartment and find yourself in the midst of cafés, bakeries, cheese shops, wine shops, restaurants and tons of boutiques that all define the character of the area. The streets are always bustling with people and the Cafes are overflowing with patrons into the wee hours of the night. Discover the artist community of the past (Matisse, Picasso, Toulouse Lautrec, Utrillo all lived in the area), climb the back streets to the dominating Sacre-Coeur Church and the Place du Tertre, or walk down to the Moulin Rouge for the famous show.

No matter what you do all day in and around Paris, you will always be glad to come back home to Les Abbesses.
 
Apartment Location

The apartment is located in the heart of Montmartre just a hop over from Place des Abbesses - in fact the living room and bedroom overlook Place des Abbesses. You have wonderful bars, cafes and bakeries practically at your doorstep.

You can walk to Sacre Coeur but to avoid walking up the steps to get to the top, you can take the Montmartrobus (our little electric bus running from the Abbesses metro station), or use the Funiculaire.

At Abbesses you have metro line 12. Use the elevator so you don't have to walk up the many stairs - though of course taking the stairs means having the opportunity to admire the artwork that adorns the walls.

Metro line 2 which you can catch at Pigalle is a quick connection to Gare du Nord station (La Chapelle), and to the Arc de Triomphe.
